Venezia's Pizzeria, NOT JUST Pizza, a Full Service Restaurant In Gilbert
"Love the pizza here. It's my go-to place for NY style pizza in the SE Valley. I used to be a Casanova Bros loyalist, but after a couple of not so good experiences there, I flipped to Venezia's and haven't looked back. Unlike some previous posters, I've never had an issue with the service and have always found it efficient and friendly. Also, I've never had anything here but the pizza, so I can't comment on any of the other menu items. For first timers, you can dine-in and buy slice combos so you don't have to commit to anything large right away. Once you're ready for a full pie, you'll be glad to know that they run daily specials which you can find on their website and they're always issuing coupons in those junk mailings you get. You'll find them once you get through all of the blinds and garage door service flyers. Burton W.

Domenick Montanile on the series "Breaking Bad."
Venezia's "originated in Albuquerque," explains Domenick Montanile, owner of four Venezia's in the Phoenix area. "My father started it in 1978, in a town called Rio Rancho, which is like a suburb of Albuquerque. Not big news until it appeared that someone from the Breaking Bad staff dug the pies and started delivering them to the set and that the show is set in Albuquerque. One day the staff purchased 10 pizza boxes of the 24" sized pizza, and wow, the first pizza ended up being one the show. But wait, the10 pizzas were cut, the episode called for uncut pizza, so they had to go back and get 10 more because in the episode, “it's not cut." Domenick said the scene resulted in lots of calls from concerned customers about whether or not the pizzerias in Albuquerque and Phoenix cut their pizzas, but he doesn't mind. Being part of the Breaking Bad world has only helped the pie chain. What started as a pizza in a scene of the popular show, “Breaking Bad†ended up being a part of Venezia’s history. A history the you can enjoy at each and every location in Arizona. Come do yourself a “flavor†and enjoy Venezia’s New York Style pizza today!
